Had a date with mance last thursday!

Guess where we went to!

I must say, the entrance gate is really quite grand and pretty! Looks like it belongs to some castle right!

Pity they dont let us enter by the big grand gate! I feel like some 'servant' entering by the small side gates :(

SO HERE WE WERE, AT SINGAPORE BOTANICAL GARDENS!

we were all set and ready for my FIRST PICNIC! but it was still drizzling :(

it actually poured cats and dogs the night before and i was super happy cause i thought that since there was a heavy downpour that night, it meant that more or less the next day would be bright and sunny! But boy was i wrong. So when we finally reached botanics, we were a little sad that it was still raining, but nonetheless our spirits were not dampened!

mance prepared ALOT for our picnic! she brought the mat, her foldable bike, an icebox full of juice, popsicles and yoghurt and of cuz ice and brownies, chips and so on!

I only prepared sandwiches ;p HUIHUISTAR SIGNATURE EGG MAYO SANDWICH :)

since it was my first picnic, and i always wanted to like sit in the middle of a large patch of grass for a picnic, i stubbornly' decided that we should 'trek' into the WET grassland for our picnic rather than just plainly have our picnic at the many DRY AND CLEAN pavilions available. We followed the path of the SWAN LAKE and found ourselves a patch of greenland :)

THIS IS THE GREAT TREE WE CHOSE TO SIT UNDER!
and this other mysterious tree nearby! it has some important value! i'll reveal it later!
this is mance setting up the mat and stuff while i snap pictures ;p

i feel bad for making her do most of the work! But anyways im at amateur at picnics ;p
failed attempt at trying to camwhore with 'OUR' tree. you can only see the tree trunk -.-

after we ate our food and taught + played poker, there wasnt really much to do in the middle of the greenland so we camwhored :)

i tried hard to balance my camera on jingyi's bike!

and cause we were getting attacked by weird + disgusting insects, we decided to abandon our picnic spot for awhile and walk around the greenland to take more pictures!

Jingyi hugging the tree! I refused to touch any part of the tree because i tink its super gross, hence i was only holding on to the 'wires' of the tree while doing the tarzan pose.

We were so far away from out picnic spot, but noone can steal our stuff cause they arent fast enough to run to the middle of the greenland, steal, and run back out. HAHA

she wanted to do planking but it was totally impossible cause it is super disgusting to lie down on your stomach on the grass, and even though she seemed willing to do it, i managed to convince her not to!

There was this 'statue' thing somewhere in the middle of the greenland too. Its called the CHANG KUDA:

And i obviously had to camwhore with it! Pretended to do a HI5 :)

okay so on about the mysterious tree near us!

If you can read the words from the picture above, it actually says that THIS TREE is the tree that is printed on the back of our SG $5 NOTE!! cool or what? I didnt even knew it existed can! Jingyi was the one who told me about it the moment she saw the tree and i didnt believe her at first ;p

The tree has A TREEHOLE!

so anyway, after camwhoring and me being attacked by some RED ANTS (freaking grossssss), we decided we had enough of the disgusting insects lurking in the greenland so we packed up our stuff and headed to the prettiest pavilion by the SWAN LAKE.

speaking of the SWAN LAKE, i was super excited cause ive never seen swans in my life before (i think) so i was super eager to see like a lake full of swan, BUT ...

when we first reached the lake, all we saw were turtles, luohan fishes and a bunch of other dk what fishes in the lake. I WAS SO DISAPPOINTED!! but then AH-HA we saw some swan feathers floating on the water!

and finally we saw a SWAN! super super pretty :)))

but guess what, in the whole swan lake (freaking big), there were only like 2 swans left. what the hell. and they looked to pitiful! Like they only had each other but the lake was hugeee. WHat will happen if one of them dies? Omg poor thing :(

So anyway! THE SWANS WERE SO PRETTTTYYYYY. the feathers were white like SNOW:

and since we were in a pretty pavilion, we had to do more camwhoring!

i look like im taking a dump :(


we had the whole pavilion to ourselves! And we threw our stuff around ;p

So anyway, when we were about to leave, this bride and groom came to have their bridal shots taken at the pavilion we were in!!! OMG so cool right? The bride's gown is so pretty! Totally something i wana wear for my wedding ;p And we were super lucky cause, the bride and groom were actually goodlooking too! Haha!
